Abortion Environment and Population
Thirty-six years ago a U.S. Supreme Court decision legalized abortion in the United States. I shake my head when I read "pro-choice" advocacy groups giving their reasons why abortions should be legal. One group puts it this way, "Population Action International works to ensure that every person has the right and access to sexual and reproductive health, so that humanity and the natural environment can exist in balance and fewer people live in poverty.
One might infer that abortions will solve environmental and poverty problems globally. Increase the number of abortions equals fewer people to leave carbon footprints, and fewer people being born into poverty. Considering that logic why don't we send some of that money to countries that don't like us very much, abortions would decrease those numbers of people also.
While I agree people should have quality health care, which includes more access to birth control for both men and women. However, nowhere did I see anything that offered alternatives to abortion. Once the abortion is done, it cannot be undone. What a horrible feeling the woman would be forced to live with should she have a change in heart.
Today President Obama signed an executive order to remove the "gag order" on agencies so that they may now counsel woman on abortions. I wonder if this will open up for more abortions to occur not because the woman does not want to be pregnant but because the woman is pregnant with the wrong gender most of the time a girl, which our tax dollars would be paying for.
We must continue to pray that those that advocate abortions will come to realize that life, no matter how small, is precious. Jeremiah 1:5 Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations. You could also insert the word doctor, teacher, scientist, etc. God knew us before conception, is it right to destroy the little life before it has a chance to live?

The perception that these groups promote abortion is completely false. In fact, based on internationally recognized estimates this funding would have prevented 36 million unintended pregnancies and 15 million induced abortions. 80,000 women’s and 2.5 million infant and children’s lives would have been saved.
When Adam and Eve were in the Garden, God told them what not to do, he let the choice to do it or not be theirs! No government should force us to not abort!God gave us free will for a reason. If God really valued all life why did he cause David and Bathshebas first child to die????Why doesn't he save all babies?Just like he knows us before we are born, he also knows who will not be born and why!!I would much rather know an unwanted child was aborted than hear that child was beaten to death,as in the Baby Grace situation. I think that those two should be stoned to death publicly.
True God did give us a free will to make right and wrong choices. With that free will comes consequences for making wrong choices. We are responsible for our actions, if we do wrong then natural consequences certainly will follow.
As far as God taking David and Bathsheba's child read 2 Samuel chapter 12. David himself declared his own penalty, although he did not know that is what he was doing. One thing we can be sure of that the child is safe with the Lord.
Abortion hasn't stopped children being killed by their parents. Why do parents who don't have an abortion but still do not want the child not give them to parents that do want them?
To answer your question about why doesn't God save all babies. I don't know, I know they are safer with Him than here. I don't know why God allowed me to miscarry twice, but my little ones are safe with Him.
One cannot justify abortion because God has given us free will. God will certainly hold us accountable. He will also forgive us and put away our sin if they ask Him. But we must accept the offer of salvation and forgiveness.
I'm certainly am sorry for your losses,I could't agree more,we will be held accountable.I do not believe in the governments right to force that or any other choices,I believe that when we go before God HE AND HE ALONE will judge!Your little ones are in heaven as angels because God found them worthy!
Thank you for your kind words.
Doesn't the government already say what one can and cannot do? The problem today is that too much liberalism has taken over society, will America go the way of the Roman Empire?
In the times of old all was liberal and there were no governments,God only appointed judges to assess what was to be done and what was fair.Governments are dictators.God gave us his laws and left it up to us to follow them. Those who didn't he accursed.(Deut 27)Jesus himself never renounced Gods laws, the only laws we should ignore are the sacrificial laws, because Jesus paid it all.If we still followed the rules of God, we wouldn't have crimes, and God would bless us financially as he did all those who followed him.
