Janet Napolitano
Sitting in my small office, sipping a diet cherry cola, I scanned the news to see what was going on in the world. Ah, the TEA parties, wished I could have attended, but other obligations kept me form joining in. Then I came across Napolitano apologizes for offending veterans. Seems like somebody is having to apologize to our military veterans quite often these days.A report issued April 7 2009 titled Right Wing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment stated in part "(U?FPUP) DHS/I&A assesses that rightwing extremest will attempt to recruit and radicalize returning veterans in order to exploit their skills and knowledge derived from military training and combat. These skills and knowledge have the potential to boost the capabilities of extremists--including lone wolves or small terrorists cells--to carry out violence . . . .
While I agree that extremism, right or left can be a potential powder keg. I did visit a extremist site to see if there were recruiting. I don't recall if they were targeting anyone from the military just those that were tired of the political games of pandering to everyone while delivering nothing. The recruitment letter was deceptively inviting, under the guise of equal rights for all. Men, women and children dressed in, what I call matching Halloween attire adorned the home page. After a prayer for the group to repent, gulped down two aspirins and a promise to myself not to let them get my blood pressure up I moved on.
Janet Napolitano stated that We are on the lookout for criminal and terrorist activity but we do not--nor will we ever--monitor ideology or political beliefs. We take seriously our responsibility to protect t the civil rights and liberties of the American people, including subjecting our activities to rigorous oversight from numerous internal and external sources. An internal source is sort of like a fox guarding the hen house. External sources I would have to know who they are to judge on that point.
Perhaps people are being overly suspicious, then again maybe not. Many are convinced that Bush was monitering certain leftwinged groups. What makes rightwing groups wonder now? Would it be that some comments made by this administrations staff might give cause.
What say you?

Christian Political View

According to the document issued by the Department of Homeland Security, espousing practically any belief that is opposed to those of liberal leftwing radicals will qualify one as a rightwing extremist/potential terrorist. Also, if you have served in the military, you may be at particular risk of being lured over to the "dark side."
Does this not frighten anyone? At best, it's an unpardonable insult to those who have served our country's defense needs.
Let's see. If you are a Christian who opposes abortion, you might be a terrorist. If you are concerned about the effects of illegal immigration on the welfare of the U.S.A., you might be a terrorist. If you are a former military officer, you might be a terrorist. If you think the government is spending too much of our children's future earnings, you might be a terrorist. Maybe the majority of Americans are terrorists now. Hmm. Didn't Obama just apologize to a bunch of Europeans, Middle Easterners, and now the Mexicans for our sins already?
Can the thought police be far behind? Just the ramblings of a rightwing terrorist. Wait. Is that the rat tat tat of a black helicopter I hear above my rooftop?

You are right that document covered just about everything. Now DHS is claiming they didn't have the language right before release. Seems another problem that comes up with regularity. Slipshod way of doing things. I feel you are right, the though police may not be far behind.

If you read the report you will see they mention more than the McVeigh types. We do have a right to voice our opinions, but apparently somebody doesn't like the idea, and I am not meaning you.

DHS's Napolitano was probably test driving the new "Fusion Software" that's been bought by GSA, DoD and other Government agencies. This was even one of Inouye's (D Hawaii)earmarks. Everyone wants to be able to monitor, assess threats and generate reports. That's how Obama gets his marching orders every day. This is VERY dangerous, and over 70 Federal Data Fusion Centers exist nationwide, already. This TRULY IS ... BIG BROTHER.

I know that Janet Napolitano (and her boss Obama) hate Christians (and veterans). They merely apologize to veterans but did not change their minds or hearts. At least FOUR "friends" have told me I am not longer acceptable as a friend because I am a Christian. (They only hate Christians). But it is legally OK because Christians are not a favored minority (even thought religious beliefs is supposedly a protected species). You merely cannot commit hate crimes against **favored** minorities. I have been a Christian all my life and will be a Christian when I stand before the throne of God to be judged. It is not a passing political ideology -- it is a faith and a way of life. Earlier Christians were hated by Rome and by kings and by invaders (the Moors). We have it relatively easy so far. We are merely hated by the atheists, the communists (CPUSA), the Islamic whack-jobs (who Janet does NOT consider terrorists) and our present government (Janet-Nancy-Barrack-Harry-Ruth-the 9th Circuit).
