Obama Asks U.S. Rep Steve Israel Not to Run for Senate

According to news sources FOXNews and the Chicago Tribune , Obama has asked U.S. Rep. Steve Israel not to run for U.S. Senate against Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand . One would have to wonder why Obama would take an action to narrow the playing field in an upcoming election. Rep. Israel's voting record appears to follow party lines, and would not upset the Democratic strangle hold in Congress.

I don't know why Obama would interject himself into a state election. If someone reading this who lives in New York can shed some light on this, I would be very happy to hear from you.

Why are Sens. Church Schumer (D-NY) and especially Bob Menendez (D-N.J.) asking Obama to get involved in the first place? Asking Obama why he is asking Rep. Israel not to run for Senate is pointless, as i doubt that he would answer the question in a coherent manner.

But the question should be answered? A president should not be running interference with an election. The decision to elect someone or not should be made by the voters, not the person who is currently occupying the Oval Office.

If you noticed, I had more than one news source reporting the same thing. The question remains why is Obama trying to limit the Democratic playing field?
Are you one of those that doesn't like Obama being questioned about anything he does?

We shouldn't blindly follow leaders. When the Anti-Christ comes, many people will blindly follow him.
Jesus criticized the high priests. John the Baptist pointed out faults with Herod. The Jewish leaders of the time.
In our time, we elect our leaders, in Jesus time they did not have that luxury. We as Christians are responsible for elected people that will lead the nation in the way that the Lord would want us to go.
I was asking a question, as to why Obama was interfering in an election. If a president interfers with any election, shouldn't people speak up and say that is for us to decide who runs and who gets elected.
Many people want Christians to remain silent. Look where we are now because too many have remained silent.

Jesus and John the Baptist were not pointing out faults, they were pointing out sins. They never argued on political issues.Only SINS against GOD, and GODS WORD !

They didn't have the option to argue political issues. If Jesus had argued political issues He would have been put on the cross for sedition. However, we are not living in such a situation, at least not yet.
Many things that politicians promote things that go against God's Word. They should be pointed out. Obama has not been truthful. (A common problem with politicians) Many of his policies do not follow God's Word.

A politition is not in office for religious reasons but to rule with fairness and justice. Many Christians differ on the right to choose.God has always left the choice to us, he never forces us to do something.Obama seems very diplomatic on hearing all sides and helping the people who have been taken advantage of.I have a pastor as a religious leader,I do not need a pastoral president.Obama seems to be promoting peace and has inspired others to help one another.Yet there is much fault finding,he is expected to be perfect, but no one is.

Perhaps we should learn lessons from the kings of Israel. How often does the Bible state that names several kings did evil in the sight of the Lord.
God held the kings responsible for the moral decay of the nation. Would God not hold our nations leaders under the same responsibility?
If the politician states publically that they are a Christian, I would think that they should be expected to be held to a higher standard.
    Why should politicans be exempt?

You seem to be always implying that Obama is the anti christ.Every democrat who is pro choice is always pegged as the AC.Did you peg Kennedy, because you heard he cheated on Jackie????Or is it because he is the first African American???

I cannot control what you choose to infer on what I have said.
What does Kennedy cheating on Jackie have anything to do with with the topic at hand? In my original post I was discussing Obama's tactics. They are wrong no matter who the president is.
What does Obama's race have to do with his policies and tactics?

I think his policies are right on,I support what he is trying to do to help the average american. You may not fully understand why things are put in play the way they are,but in the long run it will be for this counrties betterment. If you are talking about the new big budget,we need it this way,we must create JOBS and stop foreclosures,if we didn't bail out the banks the all home loans would be null and void.More homeless. The same with the auto makers, over 1,000,000 auto workers out of work flooding the unemployment lines, pretty soon, they would be broke.Every one on welfare, pretty soon welfare would be broke. What part of broke and homeless don't you understand?Already we have a food shortage at food banks. This has been going on way before the Obama administration. What tactics are you refering? What ever it is, I wonder if it outweighs the MILLIONS of out of work AMERICANS!!!!Workers that Obama is trying to give back some dignity to ,by keeping them in homes and putting a stop to the crocked banking system and credit card companies.Have you ever read the book"The Creature from Jeykle Island" it gives great insight into how these crooked bankers got started, and how the system works behind the scenes.

Greed has played a part on many levels, the problems can be traced back to Jimmy Carter and Bill Clinton for forcing banks to those that could not afford the loans or were very high risk. But we are getting off topic to my original article.
I am questioning why is Obama interferring with a New York election?
    Can you answer that one?
