Who Gains?
Who stands to gain from a “slow-rolling crisis” in education? Companies/ individuals involved in providing educational services/ materials are quickly rising to the top of Wall Street. The people that we send to Washington and their special interest groups need the “crisis”. People/ companies that take advantage of special needs areas to create excuses for why someone can not do this or that and have answers that take advantage of the “slow-rolling crisis”. Americans are not “stupid”. They can vote and take back liberties when they need to. They do believe in Public Education and the American System of Government. They are proud of their country.
If our education system is so terrible, WHY do our enemies even send their children to the United States of American to be educated? If our health care system is so terrible, WHY do people from all over the world come to us? If our system of government is so broken, WHY do people from all over the world die trying to get out of their country to come to ours?
WE ARE AMERICANS, we don’t need someone apologizing for us or trying to undo what our founding fathers started. China and India are not going to take over the world. They do have millions of students and can pick and choose from the best. Americans do believe in “public education” and they do believe in our liberties. Free-Enterprise, regulation, accountability for all, and constitutional law are pillars of our society.
We, the American people need someone who is in touch with us and not someone who embraces their own vision of their future. We need to listen to the person in the classroom, in the operating room, in the soup kitchen, those out of work, going to school, and the millions wondering what they are going to tell their kids about Christmas. What are the grandkids going to tell their kids about the way things used to be? What will be the “good old days” in the future?
People must live with the vote that they cast, but they DO NOT have to agree with the road that they are being forced to take. The power of the pen is great and the power of the vote is still available. Let the people in Washington know how you feel and that you will vote according to their actions or lack thereof. Remind them that the government is based on “WE the people” and not smoke.
Mr. Teacher
