Will Our Concerns be Answered

As I watch and read the news about our government spending more of our tax dollars to stimulate the economy. Indeed some of the early reports do show an uptick in certain areas of the financial picture.  The question that Congress or the President has yet to answer is what happens when the tax money stops. While the reviews are mixed on the “Cash for Clunkers” program whether the program is doing more harm than good. The good news is that new car sales are certainly up, along with other consumer spending. However, will the momentum continue without the government infusing our tax dollars into the private sector? If not then the upturn is an artificial one at best.

Another question I have is with the Health Care plan that Congress is kicking around, how are we going to pay for “free” health care for millions of people?   Oh yes, increase the tax on the most wealthy people. Some problems here, with the decline in the stock market that has not fully recovered from its all time high, we have fewer wealthy people, who in turn have less money than they had before. This means, less to tax.  Even Geithner has said an increase in taxes on the middle class might have to be enacted despite Obama’s campaign promises.  However, statements from the White House still promise no new taxes on the middle class. The only other way to pay for such a problem would be to cut spending, lots of spending.

Don’t get me wrong, I do care for those that need medical care, but can’t afford insurance. I want them to; actually get the care they need. What I don’t want is more red tape, and a group of time and tax wasting “Health Czars” telling who will and won’t get medical treatment of their health needs.  If you have read some of the bills, making the rounds, you will see this is what the government is trying to push through. The health insurance companies are a huge pain to deal with, not to mention being very expensive, now the government wants to take that role. As far as being able to keep your own doctor, perhaps, if he/she is on the governmental network you will. The question would be, would you still be able see the doctor or would the government shuffle you off to see a nurse practitioner, a way to reduce medical costs. I have nothing against nurse practitioners they certainly are an asset to the medical profession, I just don’t want one to replace my doctor or anyone’s doctor for that matter.

What good does it do you to have government run healthcare when the healthcare is rationed? How long will it take you to get into the office of that nurse practioner or physician to obtain an examination?

The government will determine who is and is not eligible to see which doctor. And when. They will control who gets a chance to live and who will be offered suicide counseling. Something to think about.

The government will pay for abortions on demand and physicians cannot opt not to perform the procedures. So Federal money will fund abortions whether or not you believe they are moral. Forget objecting to abortions on religious grounds. The government will be in control

Over 65? Perhaps you've missed your chance to see your physician. Maybe you are directed straight to the euthanasia counselor who will list your options of the least painful ways to off yourself.

Just say no to Obamacare. It's toxic.

I have listened to both sides, but what the real eye opener is reading the bill itself. Both sides can say anything they want, but if or when the bill is passed, whatever is on the bill is the law. Let me tell you Congress has put plenty in the bill that none of us are going to like.

I'm new here, I take all the blame for posting a question may have been addressed earlier in this blog somewhere.

For something called "Christian political view" and overtly Christian-themed, I fail to see what this policy has to do with Christianity what-so-ever.

So I suppose my question is, does this policy have anything to do with Christianity what-so-ever? If there is a religious component, I would certainly like the benefit of understanding it.

    Thanks,

Some topics may or may not have anything to do with Christianity, however, we still have a right to voice our opinion on what the government does in our lives. In this case I am trying to get people to read the health care bill, Christian or not. Christians and non-Christians need to be informed as much as possible.
