Phoenix Pastor Prays for the Death of Obama

Jesus said, in Matthew 5:44 But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you; Jesus was our greatest example of this very verse, he could have easily eliminated His enemies. However, Jesus was here to die upon the cross and save us from our sins. John 18:37 Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause I came into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.
Jesus never commanded to pray for the death of anyone, no matter what his or her belief might be. We are to pray for that others will find salvation, return to the Lord to serve him, in other words pray for something good.
We should pray that Obama would listen to the Lord and direct this country in the way that the Lord wants us to go. I believe that Obama is directing this country in a very dangerous direction, away from the Lord. For too many years, the courts and our government have pushed the Lord further and further away. How much longer will the Lord tolerate our country’s rejection?
I do believe people should take a stand on government policies, but never pray for the death of another. Polices can be changed for the good, but praying for the death of another is never a good thing.

I feel that Obama has taken us in a direction of care and concern for the little poor working person.The Bible says that we should care about others and that a person is cursed who takes advantage of others.It also says that he who is without sin should cast the first stone.Obama is trying to make our enemies our friends,and deal with people more like Jesus.The Bible speaks out against division and Obama speaks of comming together.Predudice of any kind has always been devisive.This pastor is spewing hate and dividing people and inciting his congregation to hate.Jesus was about love and tolerance.This pastor is a threat to the president and the stability of our nation,if anything happens to the president because of his mouth,there will be rioting and disorder.Not a good thing.

RE: the right to choose,Obamas stance on the right to choose is backed up by God from the time of Adam and Eve,in the garden,God gave them the right to choose.He has done so ever since!Besides, even the President cannot change this law,this law comes from the SUPREME COURT .Anyone can appeal this decision,if they disagree.

The Bible does speak out against division, among Christians. Bringing everybody together should be done in the name of Jesus, and for Jesus, no other reason. Otherwise you have compromise, read in Revelation about the early churches that made compromises. What did Jesus say to them?

I don't think HE has done anything,it is people who divide themselves by not following GODS word to submit to government.We should leave the government to do what is best,by our very educated elect,it should not be about what we FEEL,but what GOD SAYS.When we go by our feelings and people who distort the word to suit their own feelings of what religion should be, there is always division.Obama has done nothing but try to do good to others for the good of the people of America,yet it is distorted and he is maligned because,of his race, and because he is a liberal democrat.Just the word liberal,when the far right screams freedoms is hypocritical.What is true freedom?That was when the American Indians roamed the land,they didn't believe in ownership of land,they just wanted to go where they had food.It was those who call themselves TRUE AMERICANS who murdered the real free men and women.All for something we call REAL ESTATE!People who call Obama the AC and ask to pray for his death are the real AC,they do not follow Gods TRUE word.This pastor is the real divider!He preaches hate,Jesus preached love.

What has your rant have to do with what I said? When I said "I feel" it was another way of saying, in my opinion.
Have you read any of the bills that Obama wants passed. What he says and what the bills says are two different things. Helping people? Only if these people have a deep desire to be controlled by the government.

I have read all the bills and there is nothing much,I would change.I look at the White House web page constantly.I like all he has done so far to straighten out the MESS he was left with.So I do not know what you are speaking of, as of now many banks have paid back loans with inrest,and his controversial Cash for Clunkers and his help for Homeowners,we are in a turn around of getting out of the recession,this was not his opinion,but many financial professionals.New bridges are being built and roads repaired and expanded.Sales deals on wind turbines have increased,and we need a lot more done, with bad threats in earthquakes,and other disasters happening all across the world, to stop the big meltdown.I love the healthcare Bill,we need affordable healthcare.Some call it socialized medicine,I don't care if it is, we need it.I remember that the first diciples were socialized,they brought all their money to the church and dispensed according to each persons need,God struck down those who were cheating and lying, not because the witheld,but because they lied.As for comming together only for the name of Jesus,I feel we should all come together for the good of our country,it is better that our enemies sees we are a UNITED States,and that we support our leader.People who are anti government,usually end up working for our enemies,in one way or the other.If I can't see your point Candace and you don't have specifics then there is no sound reasons to keep this going. God has put this on my heart,this christian political blog is a conflict of intrest for many and there is no separation of church and state.The whole blog is divisive to Gods elect,and causes strife among the brotheren.Should a Christian site be about spreading love and Gods plan of salvation,or should this POLITICAL BLOG,be a divider and cause friction and promote hatred.I have gone to the scriptures and it tells me to spread the true gospel.Christians should be uninted in one cause,that Jesus Christ is our savior no matter what our political beliefs. While I agree we are to promote salvation in none other than Jesus, we also to warn others about the dangers in not putting their faith in Christ. If one puts their faith into the government or politician regardless of party, they are putting on blinders and will not see what is happening around them. The government has taken the on the job that the church is SUPPOSED to be doing, at the same time telling the church to remain silent. The government taxes and taxes, while those that are in true need get only a handful of crumbs and often makes matter worse sometimes years later. It took many years for the government to get into the mess it is in now, and sorry to disappoint some that may be reading this it did not start with Bush. The problems started long before. Nor will Obama get the problem fixed, though his way is handing out more crumbs which some will eagerly accept, others have no choice, creating a greater dependency.
Jesus spoke of the last days, Matthew 24:32-51, of course a lot more than just those few verses, He also told us to watch and to get the His word out.
The Lord gives different jobs to different people, not the same job to all the people. It would be like a baker, he bakes a lot of bread but no one to deliver the bread, because everybody is baking bread. But the truth is not everyone is a baker, but because no one delivers the bread these people are without. If no one warned of what is going on in the world how would some people make the connection that the Lord is returning very soon.

What job is it that you think is the churches,that the government has taken away? You never say anything specific,how about giving me a clue as to what you are refering.No one has blamed Bush,it is pure greed and yes a lack of regulation of crooked financiers and banks,that is really to blame.I certainly don't think that help for home owners or affordable health care,or extension on unemployment is crumbs.The president is simply trying to keep us from going further down,we all know we must stand on our own.No one has raised my taxes so far and if they did I won't mind if it is for a greater good.I have always respected all our presidents,I liked them all,including Bush and the present one.We are to have our true faith in Christ,but also,respect and trust that our leaders will take care of us as a nation.Some of this talk going around is so far out that anyone with common sense can see it's wrong.We all need to take our share of the responsibility,some people want things they know they can't afford.Cars, homes, credit cards etc,then they cry to the government to fix,then the government is wrong,whether they help or not.Their greed and lack of good judgement is always someone elses fault.I could go on and on.Sometimes it isn't always about what will happen if we DO this or that, it's what will happen if we DON"T.All the banks that were bailed out,if we had NOT done it,all the loans would have gotten called in and mass homeless and hungry.Thank goodness Bush did the right thing.Almost all money has been paid back with 4 billion in intrest.So tell me Candace what thing or things are you refering to,I really don't see it?????

Barack Obama is as incapable of "listening to the Lord" as any other spiritually dead man, so I pray that God will transform him that he might have eyes to see, ears to hear, and a spirit capable of following the sovereign God of Scripture.

It is no more possible for a biblically submissive Christian to coherently support the contemporary American Democrat party than it was for a Jew in 1930s Germany to vote Nazi. I hope and pray that the bride of Christ in America will awaken and act accordingly.
